[ Well! That's about all the time she's willing to spend thinking about that. She never thought about the noctaere in quite that way though, as something to be exorcised, so that's... actually interesting. ]

You're quite the exorcist yourself... apparently.

[ ...No, that felt awkward. Oh well. Too late now. ]

Thank you. Again.

[ A lifetime of what. Huh?? Was that a joke? SHE IS SO CONFUSED.

Never mind-- ]

Let him rest. If there is a major change, then you can let us know. Please.

We'll make arrangements to see him when he is ready.

Th-

[ She starts to thank him again in what feels like the third time in about as many minutes, though their written messages aren't exactly timestamped. It's enough though that she stops abruptly at a point, holding the quill to the paper.

If only there were some way (like emojis) for her to show her acknowledgement without saying anything (someone please teach this girl about emojis). Until then, she will try to shake off her tiredness. Now that she's started to write it, she clearly can't stop, so she's going to scribble the rest, and then shut her journal.

She still has a snake brother to bully into sleeping and two slackers to cover for at her job. ]

[Continued from here.

It was what it was, and he had hoped that Vincent would move on and have the life he'd wanted to make with Jack- but it never would have been possible, given things had suddenly gone in directions neither of them had planned for. He'd ended up going career when he'd been given that promotion to lead Overwatch as a UN funded organization rather than a strike team.

It was around then that Morrison had realized that things just... weren't going to work. Had been a long talk, but it had been a mutual break-up in the end. Sad, but it was good he had moved on and Jack had let go after mourning the relationship and what he knew he couldn't have.

He was watching Reaper's gloves as well, knowing what the damned costumes did—]

Yeah, won it with the intention of giving it to you.

[Honest.]

Made me think of you when I spotted it among the rest of the prizes.

[All it took for him to decide to not only win the game, but go through with picking it as the one he got.

He leaned over the table then, one hand on it, and picked up the gloze, turning it over in his hand. Wasn't going back on to Reaper's hand. Stayed right there, unmoving, just... a costume. No trick or anything to it.]

Think we can get out of these outfits now- would've been back on you by now otherwise.

Prairie cows don't have wings or burning crowns.

[Shoulders shrugged all the same, that spread of feathers bouncing and rolling with the movement as he started to feel for a way to get the shoulder piece off. With his luck it probably unzipped in the back.

Had dropped the glove back down and moved to take the damned sandals off first instead, bent down and loosening the top of them so he could work the zipper along the inside.]

I'm still going to need a little help with the top piece, I think it fastens either above or behind the feathers and I can't see to find it.
steadypulse: (Keep your head down to breathe)

[personal profile] steadypulse 2022-04-20 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I did.

[That was that as far as he was concerned-] I actually won another one for you the day before, it's tucked in with your supply stash.

[Which he'd left there for Reaper to find himself but, well, may as well let him know that this one had a 'friend' to sit around with or something of the sort.

There was a slight noise at the swat, standing up straight and the sandals kicked aside-]

Snaps at the back of the collar piece attached then, this thing isn't going to fit over my head.

[By he was reaching back, feelin along the back of the collar, so that he could get at those buttons to get it loose around his neck. Then it'd be able to be pulled off.]
steadypulse: (And the too much power thing)

[personal profile] steadypulse 2022-04-20 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Saying you don't want a red and black owl-thing?

[It was spoken dryly, because like hell he waned to get in to the whats and whys over why he'd done it. The current one was a lot easier to explain than the one he'd dropped off a day ago- even if it was for the exact same reason; saw it, and it had Reaper come to mind, and so he'd gotten it.

Leave it at that.

76 did huff, but he let his hands move away and instead kept hands lifted, given it still needed to be removed. Very much aware of how fingers brushed against skin. Even before the motion to pull it all up was taken. Tried to pass it off as just- well, he was barely wearing anything and was getting help taking the harness off.

All it was.]
steadypulse: (This is probably one of them. Probably)

[personal profile] steadypulse 2022-04-20 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
Other way around, technically, but yeah.

[He'd liked how it looked and figured that Reaper might find it sort of funny, like he was this new one he'd watch 76 win.

He caught hold of the shoulder harness and feathers, rubbing the side of his neck and bare shoulders. Free of both felt a whole lot better-]

Yeah, got some spare pants in here so I'll get rid of the shorts, too, unless you need some help with the rest of yours.

[Reaper could probably get out of the armor easily. As it was he was moving towards where he did stash his extra clothing, bent over to fish around in the bag tucked away and out of sight. Better to not have his things easily spotted if anyone else ever did find this place and decide to take a peak.]
steadypulse: (Yet again tomorrow don't look great)

[personal profile] steadypulse 2022-04-20 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
[Fished out a pair of soft material pants that he knew he could sleep in, and for the moment set them on the table in passing as the feathers and harness were draped over the back of a chair. Walking around barefoot because he knew that he'd gotten all of the splinters out of the floorboards and just put carpet over the worse spots.

Gave Reaper a bit of a look over before he was moving, running a hand over armor to look for the places things separated.]

Probably something to do with whatever kept it from being taken off at all. Think I've found where the chest piece separates from the back.

Hold your arms out to your sides for me.

[So he could unfasten the straps that would be arm to do, they were a little bit under one of the armor's petals, meant it would be difficult to get off alone.

This'd make it easier.]
steadypulse: (Old and so damn tired take a nap)

[personal profile] steadypulse 2022-04-20 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
[Fingers ran along it slowly, searching for any straps he was missing- and found a petal like one that curled inside, hand moved under armor as that was snapped free. Back of his hand brushing against Reaper underneath-]

Once I'm sure this is off, sure.

[-and moved to the other side of Reaper to do the same thing, feeling along when the strap wasn't in the same place as the other, fingers moving underneath as needed as one strap was wrapping around rather than being something less round about.

Even moved a hand down to unstrap where things connected near hips just to help this all slide off that much easier.]

Looks like this has more belts to it than your usual get-up.

[Hadn't missed he was being watched at all, but he said he was doing to help so damn it all, he was.]
steadypulse: (But then we got this here too)

[personal profile] steadypulse 2022-04-20 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
Doesn't take away the amount of belts on it, Reyes.

[Going poof didn't make the belts nonexistent, just meant that Reaper didn't have to deal with them whenever he removed any of it. This armor was a different story and 76 was the one dealing with the amount of belts so that the other could slip out of it finally.

Was keeping his attention on task- until he noticed Reaper moving, pausing briefly—

Ah. Well. The slightest tilting up his head had 76's lips brushing against Reaper's in turn, half of the movement out of the shock of initial contact and the rest was something he wasn't about to think about. Not that second.]
